So, they are going to tie the knot! They came by today to do a few engagement shots and they turned out soooo cute!!!! Aren't they sweet together??? I had to yell at Chris a few times to get a real smile! He's coming around :) LOL Had fun! I'm enjoying helping plan everything for my lil' sister's wedding. She is precious to me!

Babies Growing Fast!!!

WE WERE OUT BY THE POOL SATURDAY!!!Cash is such a sweet baby! He is 4 months old and already 19 pounds! He's so cuddly and cute!!! Then there is our little puppy Blue...He's 8 weeks and growing fast!!! We caught him in Grandpa's plants and had to snap a foto before scolding him cause it was too cute!!

Mommy and Daddy brought Miss Brooklyn down from Lexington last night to get her 8 month fotos done. She was such a sweetie....Especially for it to be so late in the evening...Look at those blue eyes :)

A Few more from the week

Okay so i got back to a few sessions this week....After all of those weddings...whew that'll wear ya out quick, but i truly enjoyed all of my brides this year! Congratulations to all of you and I will be working on your albums soon! SO, i have to show you all Miss Kasey Collette...She is MISS LAUREL COUNTY HOMECOMING QUEEN FOR 2009. She came by last night for a session...What a sweetie...We had fun! Her Mom was fun too! Thanks girls for a fun session! Then I also had Mrs. Kathy Jones group....All of the grandkids and there's a new one...Miss Scarlett Jones. What a sweetie she was! And the other kids are just adoring her!!! Too sweet! Scarlett hung in there as we changed her about 4-5 times....I'll bet Mom, Granny, and Scarlett slept well after that session! LOL Well, I'm gonna go to bed after this blog cause it's 2:35am....gotta go to bed! Gnite!

Sheesh I'm sleepy, buy I realized it's been a while since I blogged....again...Sorry ya'll....I've been trying to balance myself to be not only your photographer(in which i truly love) but also a mother, wife, sister,daughter, friend, housekeeper, dish washer, burger flipper, cook, taxi driver, babysitter, and most of all mother....But I am so blessed i can't be stressed...Just busy busy busy...thought I'd post a few of the Rickett family..they have been so patient as I've had a few weddings and several sessions and I'm trying to get caught back up....I did some family fotos with the new addition! So sweet! I love babies!!!!

It's FRIDAY!!!

I've been working ALL WEEK on trying to get my house organized....I'll be on Kait's room today (my 6th grader) I'm dreading it but she has no closet, so that's why....I still cannot believe she's in middle school....Growing up so fast!!!! She's my little angel still though....such a precious girl! She told me today that she doesn't know what she could ask for for her birthday coming up cause she's got all she could ever dream of.....I thought that was very sweet for her to say. Kids are spoiled today, but I was glad to hear that she appreciates it! LOL I snapped a shot of her this morning....It's picture day at school, so we worked on the hair and yes.....I let her wear mascara! I remember being that age and wanting to wear makeup...BUT I told her not to get used to it!!! LOL

Miss Laurel County Homecoming WINNERS

All of these girls did so good on Saturday night, but there can only be a winner for each group...Miss Dani Flannery won the teen and Miss Kasey Colette won the miss....Both beautiful young women!!! Good job to all of the contestants...you are all so beautiful and I will be posting more to the website under the same password this week! Keep checking back!

LAUREL COUNTY HOMECOMING

The fun continues out at the park at the Laurel County homecoming....Friday night was the coca-cola talent classic and then this morning was the Pet Parade....We took our puppy blue out for fun and he ended up with 2nd place...GO BLUE! I snapped a few shots from each...tonight is the longest running pageant in Kentucky and starting this year the girls that win move on to state! How exciting!!! There are 12 beautiful girls in this pageant tonight, so come on out and bring your family to the tradition on the Laurel County Homecoming....Okay I feel like I'm running an ad on the newspaper! LOL I really enjoy these festivities though...And my kids won't leave the park the whole weekend...I should buy a camper and park it out there for the week of the homecoming! LOL Hope to see you tonight!!!

Laurel County Homecoming BABY PAGEANT!

There were several sweet baby dolls at the pageant on Monday night! What dolls they were dressed in the cutest little outfits...They could dress up for somwthing from The Wizard of Oz or just wear what they wanted too...They were all just dolls!!!! I love photographing babies and kids!!!! They are all so beautiful in their own ways!!

The girls kicked off their season up against Rockastle county Tuesday night....They were all a little nervous, but they all did a great job on their first game!!! GO CARDS!!! I caught a shot of Morgan Philpot as she blocked the ball!!!

I don't show fun fotos enough!!! I love these....of my kids and those of you who know me know that I LOVE to just have fun! Whats that saying? WORK HARD. Play HARDER! LUV IT!!! BELIEVE IT!!! I love it when I can get away, cause I'm forced to not be on the computer and just chill and have fun....you can tell by these fotos, that I actually did that!! BUT, can't leave the house without the camera...it's an addition I guess LOL :) Love capturing moments..

OUR DOLLYWOOD TRIP from July

We went to Pigeon Forge about a month ago with the kids and nana and pa...We had a beautiful cabin on the hill....but not too far out...we could actually hear the Dollywood rides from it....It was fun and I can't believe I didn't blog it! Aubrey rode her first few rides all by herself...what a big girl!!! I love Dollywood....There's just something about it that feels like home...Country....gotta love it! Anyhoo, trying to catch up on the blog....I have tons to show and tell...not enough time in the day to catch it all up!!! Keep checking :) I'm trying to be more consistent!! :)

Laurel County Homecoming 2009

I went out to the Laurel County homecoming for a bit to see what all was going on...they had a couple of different concerts tonight...They had a orchestra that played classical, jazz, pop, etc..very relaxing...the stage is set up to the "there's no place like home" theme....then they had The Crabb Revival come out again this year. The kids were also enjoying the mechanical bull...and it was FREE!!! They have inflatables, the bull, and free entertainment also for tomorrow night, Saturday and Sunday, so come on out and have fun at the Laurel County Homecoming!!! It's such a family tradition to me...I've been going since I can remember, so it's a tradition that my kids have grown to love too!!! Friday night is the parade and the Coca-cola talent show that actually goes on to state...Then of course Saturday there is a ton of things going on...The pet parade is early Saturday morning and then they have guitar hero contests, bull ridgin contests, and then of course the Laurel County Teen and Miss pageant at 8pm...so come on out and enjoy the homecoming! I'll cya there!!!!

This is so weird for me....I went to North so it feels very very odd to be rooting for South, BUT I need to face it....we live in South District so here gos...GO CARDS!!!! Kaitlynn's first 6th grade basketball game is tonight at SLMS @ 5:30...Come out and cheer her on!! Kaitlynn is nervous and excited!!!! They play Rockastle and I've heard they are like the #1 team....So, cya there!!!

My little Aubrey is growing up so fast...she's so funny....little prissy thing already...independent, funny, smart little thing....I can't believe what children learn within the first 2 years of life...A LOT! Well, I had a great time in Virginia shooting a wedding for Shonna and Peter Romano!!! Congratulations to you both!!! I truly enjoyed being a part of your special day!!! This wedding took place in a small town called Abingdon, Virginia and they had their wedding at the Greenway Haven....it was so cool...very historical place...Miss Mary has been there running this place for over 60 years...it's been in her family for quiet some time!!! It was such a neat place to visit. I'd love to go back sometime. Shonna and Peter, here are a few shots from the wedding....Hope you all enjoy your sneak peek!!! Have a great honeymoon!! :)

I've failed to blog...been going to bed....:) for my heart :)

I always seem to blog better if I can stay up all night and I've been forcing myself to go to bed early because of my health....But, sorry....I've been so busy just trying to stay caught up, that's I've neglected the blog....So here's a shot of my kids and my lil' sis Sam at Freedom Farm. Denny and Penny are the most friendly folks you'll meet..They had a family reunion out at their farm and invited me and my family and my kids had such a blast...they got to ride a big horse by their self for the very first time...They LOVED it so much that they went back the next day!!! Anyhoo, thought I'd post something for all of you faithful readers....Thanks for hanging in there as I try to nurse my heart back to good health...I have been breathing better since I've been sleeping longer hours....Okay so it's 1:34AM I have a wedding this weekend in Virginia...I'm very excited! BABYFEST

I was invited to be a vendor at Babyfest in Corbin at the new technology center this weekend and it was so much fun meeting all the the new parents and babies!! We played a lullaby game at my booth where you had to name that tune to the lullaby...It was a hit! It also got me out of the house! I love meeting new people and especially new little people!!! I hope to meet a lot of new babies in the upcoming months. I've already got an appointment for this week for one of those sweet babies....Okay so i haven't blogged in a while with fotos anyway....I'm getting backed up so i'm going to try and take a few minutes to post some recent fotos! So enjoy!

I need to get a Round tuit

Do any of you have a real round tuit? I need one of those....They sell them at Dogpatch I think..it's a little round piece of wood that says round tuit on it.......I tell ya it's been a very busy year so far and seems to get busier everyday now that Aubrey is starting to walk and talk....I wish I had more time for everything...the kids..work...the house.....Don't we all...Well, I've gotten a little bit of bad news today from the heart docs. My heart has gone backward and my heart function is down to 30%.....Not good...So they've given me more meds( I really feel like an unhealthy person now that I have 8 heart meds per day at the age of 29). They told me to take it a little easier..get rest...no stress.....yada yada yada....So I've come to the conclusion that I guess I need to set more boundaries for myself...It's hard working at home cause you always feel like you are at work...It's nice, cause I love what I do, but I work too many hours sometimes...When everyone goes to bed it's peace and quiet..but sometimes i forget that I need the rest too.....So, I'm going to try to cut back a little bit on my 24 hour shifts until they can get a handle on my heart...So, please be patient with me...I'll still try to accommodate everyone the same way that I do, but it may take me a few days more...I debated on, "should i tell everyone or not?" but I'm a very open and honest person and just tell it like it is...So it is what it is, right?? Please pray for me. I need it...Now, if I can get myself on track and start taking better care of myself, maybe this will get better...Just thought I'd let everyone know...Thanks for your support! While I was at the beach, I decided to call up my childhood photographer, Eva, to do a family foto for me..She said to me, "I don't know why you need me, you are doing so well yourself.". Little did she know that she has truly inspired me and it felt so neat to bring my kids there for a session....I've been going to foto by eva since I was 8 years old, and she looked the same as she did and was just a kind and great as she was back then....21 years ago...WOW....Thanks so much eva for capturing a family portrait as well as many more fotos of the kids!!! I will always look up to you! And call me when you have time....I was serious about coming to work with you for a week in the fall!!! We made it home this morning around 3 so we are just getting up...It feels good to be home...back to work tomorrow...I'm gonna unpack and get the house back in order today!!! The kids are glad to be home too! Aubrey is like, "I've been here before, I think" LOL

1st day at the beach!!!

To all faithful bloggers, yes I'm actually blogging even though I'm at the beach...I enjoy it and my friend Jackie Rudd was sitting here with me telling me how much she check and reads, so I thought, hey, I'm glad I have fans and I'll try to keep them in the loop!!! We had a blast this evening taking the kids to 17th St Surf Shop to get flip flops, skim boards and then to get hermit crabs and then to the beach once to watch the sun go down and just CHILL!!!!! I grabbed a few snapshots of the kids having fun!! Aubrey didn't know quite what to think of the sand though....IT may take a few days....Is it me or does my baby boy Lucas (in the blue shirt)look like a pro skim boarder???? Then we have Aaron(in the white), one of those beautiful twin boys of Ruthie's and of course TOTO, the dog that was actually named after the dog from the wizard of oz, because they really found him after a tornado!! LOL ...his first time to the beach....Ahhhhh, I'm having fun just relaxing! AND ....I didn't bring my computer!!! I'm glad I made that decision, cause I NEED A BREAK and I'm enjoying every second!!!!!!

TODAY WAS SWEET

I had some of my good friends come over today....We had bought all of our kids matching outfits about a month ago and wanted to get their fotos all together!!! LOL Today when we were outside with my screaming baby girl, boys that were uncooperative and t'storms we were asking ourselves, "What the heck were we thinking?" but these will be priceless someday when they are all grown!!! Luv you guys!! Come to the beach!

Congratulations to Class of 2009!!!

Well, I made it to both graduations...so packed full that I'm wondering if they need another high school....My bro black and i and also Dad and Blake....my little bro isn't so little anymore these days...he's growing up....So sad!!! He's a great kid!!! So back to business, Kait had her final recital today...Just a few cute ones......Well, more to come later, but thought I'd post these..sooo tired....it's 3am and I have a 10am session....yikes!!! gotta hit the sack!!!

Baby BOYS!!

These are all precious baby boys...I have to say something bout the bottom foto.This was the youngest baby (2weeks) I have ever gotten a baby to respond to me with a smile...it's usually random smiles with newborns until at least 4 if not 6 ek, but he melted my heart when I brushed his cheek with my finger and spoke to him and he just grinned....AWW!!! How sweet!! These other two little guys were so sweet!! Both around 6 months!! Both blue eyes!!! So precious!!! I can't get enough of these babies!!!

LONG WEEK!!! BUT ADVENTUROUS!!!

I seriously think that the last couple of months there has been nothing but baby boys born...It seems so at foto by brandy...I'm not complaining at all I've had such sweet baby boys, but it's too funny how it seems to come in phases...Last fall/ winter it seems like it was all girls and now it seems to be catching up with the baby boys!! Anyway, I've had a couple sessions this week...I was looking back ad I spent basicly the whole week at the school just helping and handing out fotos, etc..I'm so proud of my kiddos...Lucas had his kindergarten awards this week and Kait had her 5th grade awards....Such a bittewr sweet week...My oldest graduates to middle school and my only little boy graduates kindergarten....Sad, but sweet!!! I think it hit me whenever Kait went into the middle school Friday to find out that she's made it for the SLMS basketball team! She's so excited!!!...I HAVE to mention how proud I was of her...she sang at the WPG talent show Friday and did so good!!! My kids had a great year...thanks to Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Proffitt for being such great people in my children's lives...you both have a special place in my heart...ALWAYS!!!... Anyhoo, I'm rambling as usual since it's 2am....Hope everyone had a great weekend...I've still been going..Went to both North and South graduations....Had friends and family at both....Congratulations to the Class of 2009...I got some good shot of the ceremonies....I will post those later...here's a few from the past week of the last week of school and a few sweet baby boys!!! I do have to mention too my baby girl Aubrey...She's a hard one to catch smiling for a foto, but I let her sing the other day down at the studio after a session and I'll tell ya, she's a little STAR!!!! Schedule

If you are planning to do "Beach Sessions" at Virginia Beach I need you to call or email ASAP...We will set your day and time. Also, I'm scheduling appointments now for July and August. The rest of June is pretty well gone. I can't believe we're half way to Christmas again...So anyone that wants their summer sessions for their Christmas cards, just call or email and we'll get ya booked for late July early August...I did several Christmas cards that way and everyone loved them!!! More contempo! But I also understand for those of you who are more traditional and will want Christmas stuff!! So, just thought I'd put that out there! It's 4:52am...I gotta go to bed..hope this post made sense :) I'm trying to get caught up before I go on vacation...I have about 15 sessions to retouch, so I'm hoping to be caught within 1-2 weeks...Thanks for being patient! MY kids are finally getting out of school this week...My daughter is in 5th grade and son is in Kindergarten so I've practically lived at the school this week for field days, awards, etc...I really enjoy spending time at the schools when I can squeeze it in...It makes you feel like you did something good when you volunteer and help with little things and that's one of the greatest feelings in the world! I danced and sang with the kindergarten kids on field day and they were just too sweet! Today I had a proud moment when Lucas got like 5 awards from his class and graduated into 1st grade...it was bitter sweet cause I'm proud, but I want him to stay little....My only little boy is growing up...Okay bedtime...gotta be at the school in 3 hours...2 hours sleep and then get up again..maybe I'll get a nap in somewhere today!
