Okay so i got back to a few sessions this week....After all of those weddings...whew that'll wear ya out quick, but i truly enjoyed all of my brides this year! Congratulations to all of you and I will be working on your albums soon! SO, i have to show you all Miss Kasey Collette...She is MISS LAUREL COUNTY HOMECOMING QUEEN FOR 2009. She came by last night for a session...What a sweetie...We had fun! Her Mom was fun too! Thanks girls for a fun session! Then I also had Mrs. Kathy Jones group....All of the grandkids and there's a new one...Miss Scarlett Jones. What a sweetie she was! And the other kids are just adoring her!!! Too sweet! Scarlett hung in there as we changed her about 4-5 times....I'll bet Mom, Granny, and Scarlett slept well after that session! I've been working ALL WEEK on trying to get my house organized....I'll be on Kait's room today (my 6th grader) I'm dreading it but she has no closet, so that's why....I still cannot believe she's in middle school....Growing up so fast!!!! She's my little angel still though....such a precious girl! She told me today that she doesn't know what she could ask for for her birthday coming up cause she's got all she could ever dream of.....I thought that was very sweet for her to say. Kids are spoiled today, but I was glad to hear that she appreciates it! LOL I snapped a shot of her this morning....It's picture day at school, so we worked on the hair and yes.....I let her wear mascara! I remember being that age and wanting to wear makeup...BUT I told her not to get used to it!!! LOL

LAUREL COUNTY HOMECOMING

The fun continues out at the park at the Laurel County homecoming....Friday night was the coca-cola talent classic and then this morning was the Pet Parade....We took our puppy blue out for fun and he ended up with 2nd place...GO BLUE! I snapped a few shots from each...tonight is the longest running pageant in Kentucky and starting this year the girls that win move on to state! How exciting!!! There are 12 beautiful girls in this pageant tonight, so come on out and bring your family to the tradition on the Laurel County Homecoming....Okay I feel like I'm running an ad on the newspaper! LOL I really enjoy these festivities though...And my kids won't leave the park the whole weekend...I should buy a camper and park it out there for the week of the homecoming! There were several sweet baby dolls at the pageant on Monday night! What dolls they were dressed in the cutest little outfits...They could dress up for somwthing from The Wizard of Oz or just wear what they wanted too...They were all just dolls!!!! We went to Pigeon Forge about a month ago with the kids and nana and pa...We had a beautiful cabin on the hill....but not too far out...we could actually hear the Dollywood rides from it....It was fun and I can't believe I didn't blog it! Aubrey rode her first few rides all by herself...what a big girl!!! I love Dollywood....There's just something about it that feels like home...Country....gotta love it! Anyhoo, trying to catch up on the blog....I have tons to show and tell...not enough time in the day to catch it all up!!! Keep checking :) I'm trying to be more consistent!! :)

Laurel County Homecoming 2009

I went out to the Laurel County homecoming for a bit to see what all was going on...they had a couple of different concerts tonight...They had a orchestra that played classical, jazz, pop, etc..very relaxing...the stage is set up to the "there's no place like home" theme....then they had The Crabb Revival come out again this year. The kids were also enjoying the mechanical bull...and it was FREE!!! They have inflatables, the bull, and free entertainment also for tomorrow night, Saturday and Sunday, so come on out and have fun at the Laurel County Homecoming!!! It's such a family tradition to me...I've been going since I can remember, so it's a tradition that my kids have grown to love too!!! Friday night is the parade and the Coca-cola talent show that actually goes on to state...Then of course Saturday there is a ton of things going on...The pet parade is early Saturday morning and then they have guitar hero contests, bull ridgin contests, and then of course the Laurel County Teen and Miss pageant at 8pm...so come on out and enjoy the homecoming! I'll cya there!!!!

Well, I had a great time in Virginia shooting a wedding for Shonna and Peter Romano!!! Congratulations to you both!!! I truly enjoyed being a part of your special day!!! This wedding took place in a small town called Abingdon, Virginia and they had their wedding at the Greenway Haven....it was so cool...very historical place...Miss Mary has been there running this place for over 60 years...it's been in her family for quiet some time!!! I always seem to blog better if I can stay up all night and I've been forcing myself to go to bed early because of my health....But, sorry....I've been so busy just trying to stay caught up, that's I've neglected the blog....So here's a shot of my kids and my lil' sis Sam at Freedom Farm. Denny and Penny are the most friendly folks you'll meet..They had a family reunion out at their farm and invited me and my family and my kids had such a blast...they got to ride a big horse by their self for the very first time...They LOVED it so much that they went back the next day!!! Anyhoo, thought I'd post something for all of you faithful readers....Thanks for hanging in there as I try to nurse my heart back to good health...I have been breathing better since I've been sleeping longer hours....Okay so it's 1:34AM I have a wedding this weekend in Virginia...I'm very excited! I was invited to be a vendor at Babyfest in Corbin at the new technology center this weekend and it was so much fun meeting all the the new parents and babies!! We played a lullaby game at my booth where you had to name that tune to the lullaby...It was a hit! It also got me out of the house! I love meeting new people and especially new little people!!! I hope to meet a lot of new babies in the upcoming months. I've already got an appointment for this week for one of those sweet babies....Okay so i haven't blogged in a while with fotos anyway....I'm getting backed up so i'm going to try and take a few minutes to post some recent fotos! I need to get a Round tuit

Do any of you have a real round tuit? I need one of those....They sell them at Dogpatch I think..it's a little round piece of wood that says round tuit on it.......I tell ya it's been a very busy year so far and seems to get busier everyday now that Aubrey is starting to walk and talk....I wish I had more time for everything...the kids..work...the house.....Don't we all...Well, I've gotten a little bit of bad news today from the heart docs. My heart has gone backward and my heart function is down to 30%.....Not good...So they've given me more meds( I really feel like an unhealthy person now that I have 8 heart meds per day at the age of 29). They told me to take it a little easier..get rest...no stress.....yada yada yada....So I've come to the conclusion that I guess I need to set more boundaries for myself...It's hard working at home cause you always feel like you are at work...It's nice, cause I love what I do, but I work too many hours sometimes...When everyone goes to bed it's peace and quiet..but sometimes i forget that I need the rest too.....So, I'm going to try to cut back a little bit on my 24 hour shifts until they can get a handle on my heart...So, please be patient with me...I'll still try to accommodate everyone the same way that I do, but it may take me a few days more...I debated on, "should i tell everyone or not?" but I'm a very open and honest person and just tell it like it is...So it is what it is, right?? Please pray for me. I need it...Now, if I can get myself on track and start taking better care of myself, maybe this will get better...Just thought I'd let everyone know...Thanks for your support! While I was at the beach, I decided to call up my childhood photographer, Eva, to do a family foto for me..She said to me, "I don't know why you need me, you are doing so well yourself.". Little did she know that she has truly inspired me and it felt so neat to bring my kids there for a session....I've been going to foto by eva since I was 8 years old, and she looked the same as she did and was just a kind and great as she was back then....21 years ago...WOW....Thanks so much eva for capturing a family portrait as well as many more fotos of the kids!!! I will always look up to you! And call me when you have time....I was serious about coming to work with you for a week in the fall!!! To all faithful bloggers, yes I'm actually blogging even though I'm at the beach...I enjoy it and my friend Jackie Rudd was sitting here with me telling me how much she check and reads, so I thought, hey, I'm glad I have fans and I'll try to keep them in the loop!!! We had a blast this evening taking the kids to 17th St Surf Shop to get flip flops, skim boards and then to get hermit crabs and then to the beach once to watch the sun go down and just CHILL!!!!! I grabbed a few snapshots of the kids having fun!! Aubrey didn't know quite what to think of the sand though....IT may take a few days....Is it me or does my baby boy Lucas (in the blue shirt)look like a pro skim boarder???? Then we have Aaron(in the white), one of those beautiful twin boys of Ruthie's and of course TOTO, the dog that was actually named after the dog from the wizard of oz, because they really found him after a tornado!! LOL ...his first time to the beach....Ahhhhh, I'm having fun just relaxing! AND ....I didn't bring my computer!!! I'm glad I made that decision, cause I NEED A BREAK and I'm enjoying every second!!!!!!

These are all precious baby boys...I have to say something bout the bottom foto.This was the youngest baby (2weeks) I have ever gotten a baby to respond to me with a smile...it's usually random smiles with newborns until at least 4 if not 6 ek, but he melted my heart when I brushed his cheek with my finger and spoke to him and he just grinned....AWW!!! How sweet!! These other two little guys were so sweet!! Both around 6 months!! Both blue eyes!!! So precious!!! I can't get enough of these babies!!!

I seriously think that the last couple of months there has been nothing but baby boys born...It seems so at foto by brandy...I'm not complaining at all I've had such sweet baby boys, but it's too funny how it seems to come in phases...Last fall/ winter it seems like it was all girls and now it seems to be catching up with the baby boys!! Anyway, I've had a couple sessions this week...I was looking back ad I spent basicly the whole week at the school just helping and handing out fotos, etc..I'm so proud of my kiddos...Lucas had his kindergarten awards this week and Kait had her 5th grade awards....Such a bittewr sweet week...My oldest graduates to middle school and my only little boy graduates kindergarten....Sad, but sweet!!! I think it hit me whenever Kait went into the middle school Friday to find out that she's made it for the SLMS basketball team! She's so excited!!!...I HAVE to mention how proud I was of her...she sang at the WPG talent show Friday and did so good!!! My kids had a great year...thanks to Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Proffitt for being such great people in my children's lives...you both have a special place in my heart...ALWAYS!!!... Anyhoo, I'm rambling as usual since it's 2am....Hope everyone had a great weekend...I've still been going..Went to both North and South graduations....Had friends and family at both....Congratulations to the Class of 2009...I got some good shot of the ceremonies....I will post those later...here's a few from the past week of the last week of school and a few sweet baby boys!!! If you are planning to do "Beach Sessions" at Virginia Beach I need you to call or email ASAP...We will set your day and time. Also, I'm scheduling appointments now for July and August. The rest of June is pretty well gone. I can't believe we're half way to Christmas again...So anyone that wants their summer sessions for their Christmas cards, just call or email and we'll get ya booked for late July early August...I did several Christmas cards that way and everyone loved them!!! More contempo! But I also understand for those of you who are more traditional and will want Christmas stuff!! So, just thought I'd put that out there! It's 4:52am...I gotta go to bed..hope this post made sense :) I'm trying to get caught up before I go on vacation...I have about 15 sessions to retouch, so I'm hoping to be caught within 1-2 weeks...Thanks for being patient! MY kids are finally getting out of school this week...My daughter is in 5th grade and son is in Kindergarten so I've practically lived at the school this week for field days, awards, etc...I really enjoy spending time at the schools when I can squeeze it in...It makes you feel like you did something good when you volunteer and help with little things and that's one of the greatest feelings in the world! I danced and sang with the kindergarten kids on field day and they were just too sweet! Today I had a proud moment when Lucas got like 5 awards from his class and graduated into 1st grade...it was bitter sweet cause I'm proud, but I want him to stay little....My only little boy is growing up...Okay bedtime...gotta be at the school in 3 hours...2 hours sleep and then get up again..maybe I'll get a nap in somewhere today!

Well, I did my first wedding of the 2009 season yesterday... It was so beautiful!!! What a lovely couple to work with!! Renzo and Mary Beth were such a joy to work for. Very sweet couple!! This wedding was one of the most beautiful I've seen...The flowers were gorgeous, the church was beautiful, the reception was also just so beautifully decorated. I loved the candy bar at the reception....it was so neat..all kinds of different chocolate and my favorite colors white and pink!!!And the band was great too!!! Jazzy and R&B...I ended up being asked to sing with them, so I sang At Last and it was so fun!!! I love singing with a live band...Makes me feel famous or something LOL..okay it's 3am..I'm slap happy folks..... I want to give a special thanks to my good friend Kelly Sandlin for assisting me at this wedding..She is a great photographer and I'm proud to call her my friend. The red curtain urked me cause it didn't match many of the colorful outfits...but it did match the minnie mouse :) Kait did awesome! The last song with the blue and green outfits was ICE ICE BABY...and that dance was so cool! You could tell the girls had fun performing it!

I love doing twins fotos....These guys are very special to me....Not only does my little boy love to hang out with these guys, but they feel like a part of my family...The boys were getting ready to go to a game the other day and I just realized how as long as I've been doing their fotos(around a year now), I had never done a foto of just them together...They look alot alike, but they have different personalities, so you can tell them apart pretty easily when you get to know them...Ruthie, I love to photograph your kids! They are so beautiful!!!

It seems like I've been doing nonstop sessions for 3 weeks...I feel very blessed to be so busy! Now it's time to play catch up....I have a huge wedding this weekend...I would like to send a big congrats to my bride and groom Renzo and Mary Beth in advance. I also wanted to post a few fotos from the weekend shoots...I had Mackenzie, Chris, and Brayden. This couple is getting married in August...what a beautiful family they will be. So, back to business, for anyone that has had a session in the last 3 weeks, I apologize for the delay of viewing your fotos. I am running a little behind due to sessions sessions sessions, so if anyone has any questions please call me and I'll try to accommodate your needs. I try to stay on a 2-3 week delay for online galleries and I'm just a bit backed up right now..it's more like 4-6 weeks, so bare with me as I catch up..I spend countless hours retouching your images, so they will look awesome!!! I'm not scheduling anything for the next few weeks, in order to play catch up...I still have a few openings left for beach sessions if anyone is interested. Well, after I went upstairs this morning, I decided since it was 5:30 that I'd just stay up and clean the kitchen and do a load of laundry and take the kids to school....Long story short, I still have not went to sleep....I truly feel like a ZOMBIE!!! Okay I had to get some color fotos on here before bed after all of that black and white....this is Kenzie....She's such a little firecracker!! She's going to be 2, but she told me five...LOL... She's such a beautiful little one. We went over to the farm and she spotted the baby horse before anyone did....She loves the farm animals...I think she would've stayed all day!!! This little horse just came and sat down as if it knew I was going to take it's picture...too funny!

Oh my goodness...it's 4:30am!!!! I need to go to bed...I guess this is what you call an all nighter....whew....well, I did finish a wedding album that I've been needing to do for a while. I also wanted to post a few fotos of the sessions I've done the last couple of days...I guess I'm in the Black and White mood tonight...I'll post more later....if I get out the bed anytime today...LOL Actually, I am going to Kaitlynn's last field trip for elementary school today, so I gotta get a few hours and go go go....That's what Mom's do, right??? I worked all day today...started at the school doing some volunteer fotos....Then I ran errands until pick up, had some deliveries and then another session later this afternoon....I went to lay in the bed with all three kids and it felt so good!!! I thought to myself , "Why don't I do this more often?" I'm such a busy person these days, as all mothers are these days, but sometimes you have to stop for a second and take it all in...how fast the kids are growing...how they'll remember those little special moments more than the house being cluttered....Kait, Luke, and I were humming the song "baby mine" over and over to Aubrey to try and get her to sleep...then we'd stop and she'd hum too....We'd get really quiet and she'd have to say something...WE all laughed and just had a ball just laying there together....I can't wait until the kids are out of school so I can spend more time with them for a while...I'm ready for summer break!!!!

Girls Day OUT!!!

We had a great Girls Day OUT Friday...Much needed....All day shopping no kiddos!!! I needed the break away from the office! IT was Jessica, Miranda, Laura, Kelly and me...Kelly and I first headed to the camera store..of course we didn't leave without spending a mini fortune in there...But, hey that's better for you (the customer) when we upgrade and buy awesome new stuff for the studio!! LOL I got a new manfrotto tripod and pistol grip. I also got a new remote...I'm excited about the remote cause for Aubrey as well as other babies, sometimes it's hard to get a good smile when you are behind the camera...I'll be trying those new things out this week!! We headed to Hamburg and shopped around a while and then of course Olive Garden and to the mall...The sales for kids stuff was CRAZY!!! Gymboree and Gap both had major clearance...I bought $40 outfits for like $5. I'm all about the deals!! So, Kelly had to wait on me for like hours while I dug thru all of the stuff for three kids and myself....overwhelming but worth it....LOL...Then we went to shop for me...I needed clothes desperately...So Kelly had to help me...We saw a sign that said over 80% of women wear the wrong bra size....well, I won't go into detail, but I was in that 80%..call me and I'll tell ya more details LOL IT was fun times though. We needed a day away from the studio and it was nice and refreshing! We shopped just about until we dropped. I haven't even got the stuff out of the car yet...I actually had 3 sessions on Saturday and then the rest of the weekend I just laid on the couch, watched movies, and played with the kids. That was the first weekend in forever since I just laid around...it was nice!!!! Now it's time to get to work!!!

My son Lucas started the tball season last week....well, the season would've started a couple of weeks ago, but the rain postponed it. I am also posting his recent boo boo....Lucas was cold Thursday morning and went to jerk covers from Kaitlynn and went with the covers and busted his head open on his dresser...I was at the emergency room Thursday morning at 7am....They dermabonded it back together...It scared me...I've never seen an open cut like that on one of my kids. I was in panic for a bit, but he's okay now.

My aunt, Pennie is so talented...She can draw awesome, paint,cook, sing, and the list goes on....what can I say? I come from a talented family!! LOL So anyway, recently she started making some of her kid's clothe's and they are just AWESOME!!!! I told her that she HAS to start making these cause everyone that I know that has a little girl will want one!!! I've worked nonstop all week so far and I feel like I've gotten 90 hours in already...whew...I'm gonna go take a break this evening...But, I had the cutest little girls last night and I could NOT wait to take a peek at them...They are so beautiful and I HAD to see if I had a shot of the four of them together...They are 1,3,5,and7 so sometimes a group shot can be a struggle, but I was so happy that I got a few awesome shots of them together...Aren't they precious????!!!

I put this little poster together for the kindergarten class at WPG...The school will have these available to buy for $5 for the small poster and $10 for the large poster...All proceeds go straight to the WPG PTO... I thought it was a neat way to mark history of WPG elementary and to also look back on later on. I also think it's a started tradition now...I really enjoyed doing the project and the teachers and staff are just awesome at WPG!!!

I had so much fun this morning at the school.. The kindergarten teachers did Muffins for Mom at the school...It was the sweetest thing ever!!! The kids sang and then that was my project this week...I did the fotos for all of the kindergartener's for their mommy's...too sweet! And then they played this song that if you're a mom you should go watch...and watch the words!! It's hilarious!!

My friend ,Christy is such a sweetie! Her baby is 2 weeks old already and time is flying by...I can't wait to see him again...By the time I get his fotos all online he'll probably look so different...babies change so much those first few months...I was going through proofing their session tonight and this one caught my eye....Christy is such a beautiful girl and her family is beautiful too...I just love this little moment with her new baby boy...These types of moments are so precious!!! I enjoyed my time at the hospital this past week...My best friend, Jess had her little one, but also another sweet gal I know had her baby too, so fotobybrandy brought the studio to the corbin hospital and set up....It was so sweet seeing all of those babies...At one point we counted and there were 9 babies in the nursery...Is it a full moon??? LOL Here is a shot of Cash with the cowboy hat and baby Zoey...look at those sweet little cheeks!!! So lovable!!!

How precious....new beginnings...I loved being a part of The Bales' special day!!! I stood behind the curtain until baby Cash arrived and then captured the first little moments of his life....I love what I do...it truly is a miracle to watch a baby as it takes it's first few breaths and cries....this family means so much to me and I feel blessed to have been there today and share their experience....Love you guys!!! WPG Elementary Foto Fundraiser

I love my job...that's all I can say....What a precious thing to get to capture little miracles!!! This little guy is very special to me...Some of you who know me personally will always remember Michael Sawyers, a special young man that I dated around 10 years ago and was forever impacted by getting to know him....He was tragically lost in a car accident only about a week after his high school graduation back in 1999...Such a sad story...Well, this precious baby boy is his nephew, which is Michelle Sawyers little one. He is just so precious. So, I was so honored to go to the hospital and be the first to photograph him....so precious!!! He's a cutie Michelle!

Well, I didn't use this lamb for fotos,but it's making it to the blog..lol.. my Mamaw fell in love with this little lamb and raised it....when it got home it was only a day or two old and the mother was being sold for slaughter, so my Papaw brought it home and mamaw has still been bottle feeding it...How sweet is that?? The kids had some friends over today to color easter eggs....What a fun tradition....I'm so busy I can't hardly stop right now until after Easter so if I'm taking a bit on your proofs, I apologize...I'm swamped this week trying to get ready for the holiday weekend, Aubrey's ( the baby) been a little under the weather this week, I've been helping with a friend's bday party, and I've been taking last minute easter appointments...yes, I will take you all that put if off until the LAST MINUTE!!!
